Optimising Staff
Having had the privilege of working within various companies as a manager and consultant, and being exposed to many more as a business client or supplier has given me valuable insight into how businesses operate from small family firms to large multinationals.
I believe it is the responsibility of every manager to develop their staff with formal training, mentoring, and coaching on the job. It’s something I have enjoyed doing in various countries and I found it rewarding to witness staff developing and attaining positions they otherwise would never have achieved.
But many businesses lack the systems to support formal training for their staff, and many managers find themselves too busy to support their staff’s development. The result is unmotivated staff who look elsewhere for opportunities.
I can assist your firm to review its training plans and its training culture. I have extensive background in designing, procuring and providing vocational education that meets your firm’s needs. I can help advise on staff development and appropriate training courses.
I can review the training that is provided to staff as an ongoing part of their role, considering whether managers and experienced coworkers are equipped to provide the on-the-job training that staff need. I can help your firm to rebuild its training culture.
At the more senior level, mentoring opportunities can be difficult to offer within the firm. I have provided confidential mentoring and advisory services to CEOs and Senior Managers and can help identify the right support for senior staff.
Your firm will experience immediate benefits from more engaged motivated and confident staff, and better staff retention.
